Principal Software Architect. Systems Strategist. Integration Specialist.
Shane Harper is a Principal Software Architect with 15+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade platforms. His work spans payments, eCommerce, healthcare, logistics, AI integrations, and distributed systems — with a track record of 60+ payment and fulfillment integrations deployed across thousands of merchants globally.
He founded and led Collins Harper from 2007 to 2024, a consultancy that became a trusted resource for complex eCommerce and payments architecture across enterprise clients in North America. During that time, he designed and delivered payment integrations for Stripe, Cybersource, Authorize.net, Moneris, and Tier 1 carriers — systems handling authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks, and high-volume reconciliation under PCI DSS requirements.
From 2018 to 2023, he served as Software Engineering Manager at Webclinic, where he architected a WebRTC-based EMR platform enabling secure remote healthcare for over 3,000 patients per month. He designed the access control and permission systems that ensured HIPAA and PIPEDA compliance across multi-provider white-label SaaS deployments.
At Harper Agency today, he provides hands-on architectural leadership for growth-stage and enterprise companies. Recent work includes a production-grade gift card and stored-value platform for Adobe Commerce now in use across 100+ merchants, real-time IoT analytics platforms for equine health monitoring, and AI and LLM workflow integrations for commerce and operational automation.

How We Work
We engage as a principal architect and senior partner — not as a vendor executing tickets. We ask hard questions early, document architecture decisions, and stay engaged through delivery. When the system goes to production, we have already thought about what happens when it does not behave as expected.
Most of our engagements begin with a direct scoping conversation. We will tell you honestly whether the problem is one we have solved before, and what a realistic path forward looks like.
