Hosted checkout (HPP)
Your customer clicks Pay and is taken to Moneris’s secure payment page, then returned to your store. Smallest PCI footprint, simplest setup.
Direct checkout (REST API)
The payment form lives on your store. Your customer never leaves your checkout. Processed in the background via Moneris REST API.
Card tokenization (Vault)
Customers save their card securely for future purchases. No card data stored on your server — Moneris Vault handles it.
Recurring billing
Full subscription support via WooCommerce Subscriptions. Automatic renewal charges processed through Moneris on schedule.
Canada and US accounts

What you need before installing
- An active Moneris merchant account (Canada or US)
- Your Moneris Store ID and API Token
- For hosted checkout: Moneris HPP configured on your account
- For direct checkout: Moneris REST API access enabled
- WooCommerce 7.0 or higher, running on PHP 8.0+
If you choose the installation or white glove option, we handle the credential setup and verify everything is working before handover.
Common questions
Do I need a specific type of Moneris account?
Any active Moneris merchant account works. The plugin supports both Canada and US accounts. The integration type (HPP vs direct) is configured inside the plugin — your account just needs the relevant access enabled.
Can I switch between hosted and direct checkout later?
Yes. Both are included in your purchase. You choose which one is active in the plugin settings, and you can change it at any time without touching code.
Does this work with WooCommerce Subscriptions?
Yes. Recurring billing via WooCommerce Subscriptions is supported. Renewal charges are processed automatically through Moneris on the subscription schedule.
Can customers save their card for future purchases?
Yes. Moneris Vault tokenization is included. The customer’s card details are stored securely by Moneris, not on your server. Your store holds a token that references the card.
What does the installation option include?
We install and configure the plugin on your WooCommerce store, connect your Moneris credentials, set up your preferred checkout type, and verify that a test transaction processes correctly before handover.
What does the white glove option add?
Everything in the installation option, plus 30-day priority support and an onboarding call. Useful if you want someone available while you go through your first live transactions.
Is there a monthly fee?
No. This is a one-time purchase. Moneris processing fees are billed directly by Moneris per transaction, as they always have been.
